v Do you have other quilt photos you would share with me?
o Absolutely! Just send an email and let me know you'd like to view other quilts. I will email a link to my Kodak Gallery, which has many additional quilt photos.
v How do I request a quote for having my quilt top quilted?
o Simply CLICK HERE and we'll take you to our quote form.
v Can you just provide a ballpark price for having a twin, double, or queen size quilt quilted?
o We prefer to give you a realistic quote for having any specific quilt completed. However, we understand you want to be able to estimate the charges. To view or print our Pricing Worksheet, CLICK HERE. Once you're ready, simply CLICK HERE and we'll get to work on that quote!
v How do we proceed if I am happy with Quilt It For Me's price quote?
o First we'll determine the appropriate method of quilt drop-off. If you're nearby, you may want to bring it to Quilt It For Me. Otherwise, you'll be mailing the quilting materials you are providing to Quilt It For Me.
v Where is your business located?
o We are in Grayson, Georgia. Business hours are by appointment.
v I'll have to mail my quilt top to Quilt It For Me. How do I package it?
o Pack the items to be included (quilt top, batting perhaps, backing, binding fabric, etc) carefully in a sturdy box. Be sure to include a sheet with your name, address, email, and phone number inside the box. On the outside of the box clearly mark the mailing address as: Sheila Miller, 905 Hillside Drive, Grayson, GA 30017. On the outside of the box, do NOT indicate anywhere that a quilt top is inside. This is a security measure to avoid temptation to others who might be as interested in having a quilt as you are!
v How should I ship the package?
o You may use the carrier of your choice. I have no particular preference. However, you should insure the package. Quilt It For Me cannot be responsible for failed deliveries. Our business is in a very secure area, but your quilt may travel many miles between your home and Quilt It For Me. Please don't risk losing your masterpiece! Insure your quilt! If you are required to list contents at the time of purchasing shipping insurance, you should simply mark the contents as "bedding". It is a good idea to also use package tracking when you ship your quilt. If you make us aware of the carrier and the tracking number via email (email@quiltitforme.com), we'll keep an eye out for your quilt!
v How will I know the package made it?
o As soon as we receive the package, we'll contact you to let you know it arrived safely and discuss final considerations for quilting!
v How do you proceed once you receive my quilt top?
o First, we'll email you a Work Order that outlines all the discussions we had during our "package received" phone call. This Work Order will include the final price. If your quilt will be returned to you via mail, the return handling/shipping charge of $20.00 will be included on this Work Order. You must sign and fax the Work Order back to us at 678-377-7981. Once we receive the signed Work Order, we'll schedule your quilt to be completed.
v How long before you can get to my quilt?
o Naturally, that does depend on our workload. However, Quilt It For Me tries to meet all our customers timeframe requirements. When we make the initial call to give you a quote, we'll then be able to give you an estimate of how our time schedule is running.
v What type long-arm machine does Quilt It For Me Use?
o We use a HandiQuilter16 machine along with the PCQuilter.
v What quilting patterns do you offer?
o We purchase our quilting patterns from www.quiltrecipes.com. You may visit their site and view the 'Robotic Quilting Patterns for Sale' to begin choosing a pattern for your quilt top.
v Does Quilt It For Me only do all-over patterns, or can I choose multiple quilting patterns (custom quilting)?
o We are open to discuss quilting options with you. The most economical solution is to choose a pattern that can be quilted in an all-over fashion. However, we are willing to do customer quilting for custom pricing.
v What are the payment terms?
o Quilt It For Me accepts money orders, cashier's checks, and PayPal payments. Credit Cards may be used if you're paying via PayPal. Personal checks are accepted as a courtesy for repeat customers. All payments must be received one week prior to your quilt's scheduled date. If you are interested in paying via PayPal, Quilt It For Me will send you an invoice. PayPal payment invoices will include a 3% handling charge.
v Do I have to be a PayPal member to be able to use PayPal to pay Quilt It For Me?
o No. This is a neat feature of PayPal. You don’t have to be a PayPal member to send money via PayPal.
v What about preparing my quilt for Quilt It For Me?
o First of all, be sure your borders are square and your quilt top and backing is pressed (unless the backing prep is part of our Work Order). All threads should be trimmed, unless you'd like to leave them for added texture J. Carefully safety pin a note that says "center of top edge" to the approximate center of your top quilt edge. Many quilts are non-directional and we prefer you choose which edge will be the "top". If you are providing batting (brand restrictions will be discussed during our quote phone call), it should be 4" larger than the quilt top on each side. Please don't send batting substantially larger than this size. If we are preparing your binding, we'll let you know how much fabric to include. The backing and binding fabrics should be pre-washed and dried without any fabric softener. The backing must be 4" larger than the quilt top on each side. Please measure and cut your backing to this size. (Example: A quilt top that measures 50" x 64" should have batting and backing the size of 58" x 72".) Remember, the quilt will never be of greater quality than the fabrics that were used to make it!
v What additional services does Quilt It For Me provide?
o We will take a digital photo of your completed quilt. This complimentary image will be emailed to you for your records.
o We do offer custom quilt labels printed on muslin at an additional charge. Ask us about this service.
o If your quilt pattern is an original, or if you have received permission from the pattern designer to photograph your quilt, we offer sets of ten custom note cards and accompanying envelopes with your quilt photo on the front of the card for $15.00. These cards include your name and date on the back of the card. There is no shipping/handling if this order accompanies your quilt delivery.
o Custom note cards and the accompanying envelopes are available as well for other quilts you've done in the past. Simply provide a digital image of your quilt to us (remember to get permission to photograph your quilt if it is not your original pattern) and we will create a set of ten for $15.00. The shipping/handling for these card sets is $5.00.

v Additional questions?
o Send an email to email@quiltitforme.com with your additional questions or requests and we'll be happy to respond.
v Will you provide references for other quilts you've quilted?
o Certainly. Just request them (via email at email@quiltitforme.com) and I will give you the email addresses and phone numbers of a few folks who use my services. I only ask that when/if you choose to contact them you ensure they aren’t too busy at the moment to speak with you. They are kind enough to serve as references, and I want to be respectful of their time.
v I’m not comfortable requesting the quote via email. May I call you?
o Feel free to call me at 678-377-7968 anytime between the hours of 9:00AM and 9:00PM EST. If I'm not available, leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as possible!
